2nd place Auto Service Department -- For over fifty years, Casa Ford Lincoln has been El Paso's trusted source for Fords, Lincolns, and quality pre-owned vehicles. Now, Team Casa has expanded to provide thirteen brands of new vehicles, and hundreds of used cars, trucks, and SUVs across six locations! Let's take a look back and see how our founder and former owner, Wally Lowenfield, started a legacy of dedicated service that would spam over half a century!

To tell the story of Casa Ford Lincoln, you have to tell the story of Wally Lowenfield. Wally was born and raised right here in El Paso, and he held a deep love and appreciation for his hometown. He graduated from El Paso High School, a stone's throw from Casa Ford Lincoln. After high school, Wally went on to prove his leadership abilities at UTEP (known as Texas College of Mines at the time) by becoming a yell leader of the cheer squad and founding the Kappa Sigma fraternity. It was that same leadership ability and sense of duty that led Wally to leave college and serve his country during World War II. He served honorably as a storekeeper on a naval ship for several years, before returning home to finish his education. His timing could not have been better, as when he arrived, he met "The most beautiful girl he had ever seen."

Wally met his future wife, Patricia, before graduating from UTEP, and he immediately knew she was special. They had an instant connection, and soon formed a marriage that would span 61 years and six children. Wally and Patricia believed in strong moral and spiritual values, and raised their children to do the same. He took up a leadership position at St. Clement's Church, and took its teachings of generosity and service to heart. He was the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back, and was an avid supporter of many charitable organizations, such as The Boys and Girls Club of El Paso, The YMCA, The Del Norte Club, and even served as president of United Way of El Paso County. It was this sense of community responsibility that led him to found Casa Ford Lincoln.

Wally was no stranger to a hard day's work. He started his career working with his father at a lumber company. He was then able to start an insurance company with his lifelong friend, which merged into an even larger company where he rose to the level of partner. Then, in September of 1969, he came across a great opportunity and sold his stake in the insurance company to acquire El Paso Ford, now Casa Ford Lincoln, along with 4 friends. He made this purchase with one goal in mind: to Serve Others, Do What's Right and Value People. Today, we know that as the Casa Way. Wally had been a successful businessman for years, but he took to the car business like a duck to water. He loved the sight of a happy family driving off in one of his Fords, and knew that he had found his calling. Under his leadership Casa Ford flourished, and El Paso residents enjoyed a higher class of customer service. One based on compassion and responsibility. He instilled those same values in his children, and brought his son, Clay, into the family business. This legacy of excellence continued on for decades, and though Team Casa grew as they added a Nissan and a Kia store, their commitment to humble and reliable service never wavered.

These days, Casa Ford Lincoln is run by Wally's grandchildren: Justin, Ronnie, Luke, and Miles. Even though Wally passed on in 2012, his grandchildren are continuing his legacy into future generations. They still run Casa Ford Lincoln the Casa Way, the humility, respect, and strong moral values. We're a true family owned and operated business, and that's exactly how we treat our staff and customers. Like family.
